Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for pre-operative, post-operative, and recovery patients during overnight hours in a surgical hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced night environment.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required; active RN licensure in Louisiana or eligible.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Previous nursing experience in a surgical or inpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients during the night shift.
• Assess physical and emotional needs at admission and post‑operative stages.
• Monitor vital signs, assess changes, and intervene as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per hospital protocols.
• Assist with wound care, pain management, and post‑operative recovery.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient progress; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Advocate for patients and provide emotional support during hospitalization.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
