Job summary

PTA Plastics is hiring an Operator 1 to join our team in Niwot, CO. You will operate plastic injection molding machines, inspect parts for quality, and package products for shipping. A strong eye for detail and the ability to follow English work instructions are essential.

As an employee-owned company serving Fortune 500 OEMs, we emphasize safety, quality, and collaboration across molding, QA, and engineering teams. High school diploma required; related experience a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience operating plastic injection molding machines or similar equipment is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to understand work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

Operate plastic injection molding machines according to established procedures and guidelines.
Observe machine operation to detect work defects or machine malfunctions.
Inspect finished products for quality based on the quality plan and report defects.
Monitor and control the production process to maintain output and minimize waste.
Record operational data, including scrap, in the Job Book.
Perform secondary operations as needed (assembly, trimming, milling, pad printing).
Package products according to work instructions and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
Communicate with Molding, QA, and Engineering to ensure objectives are met.
