Job summary

National Beef in Moultrie, GA is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the night shift to join our maintenance team. You will operate, service, and repair industrial refrigeration equipment across the plant, ensuring reliable operation and safety.

Responsibilities include ammonia detection testing, utility systems maintenance, and adherence to preventative maintenance policies. This on-site role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills and a commitment to timeliness and safety.

Qualifications

Proven work history in industrial refrigeration, preferably in meat/food industry.
Strong knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and PMs.
Disciplined in electrical, fabrication, fluid power, machining, mechanical, plumbing, welding and construction.

Responsibilities

Operate, repair, service, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial refrigeration equipment and systems (compressors, condensers, blast freezers, ammonia pumps, evaporators, valves, piping, instrumentation).
Perform periodic testing of ammonia detection systems.
Monitor and repair hot water heaters, water filters, reservoirs, and electrical control panels.
Repair and maintain utility equipment (steam, water, air, standby) including temperature controls and chart recorders.
Maintain ongoing improvement and upkeep of all utility areas and preventative/corrective maintenance policies.
