Job summary

Specialty Foods Group, LLC in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Maintenance/Industrial Mechanical Technician to support a world-class meat processing facility. The role focuses on minimizing downtime through preventative and corrective maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.

Qualifications include an Industrial Maintenance degree preferred or a HS diploma with 3-5 years in industrial maintenance, plus knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, and gear boxes.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance degree preferred or HS diploma with 3-5 years' industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of 110-, 220- and 480-volt electrical systems.
• Experience maintaining mechanical drives, chain drives and conveyors.
• Willingness to work extended overtime including weekends.
• Ability to read prints, schematics and company documents.
• Experience with basic machine alignment using precision instruments.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate response to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on meat processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with facility equipment.
• Perform minor electrical work (non-licensed) such as replacing bulbs and fuses.
• Perform other duties as needed.
