Job summary

Pitney Bowes is hiring an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift at our Charlotte, NC Presort Services facility. This role carries an hourly pay range of $25-35 with the possibility of overtime and a schedule that runs five consecutive night shifts from Monday night to Saturday morning.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on mail sorting equipment, conveyors, PLCs, and other electromechanical production machinery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Experience servicing conveyors and PLC systems.
• Ability to read schematics, charts, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial electromechanical production equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.
• Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory utilizing EAM.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Utilize a tablet to track assigned work and machine downtime as well as inventory used in repair.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
