Job summary

Fiber Global is seeking Manufacturing Technicians to support maintenance and production in our Indiana facility. The role covers preventative and recovery maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with progression through four levels based on skills and responsibilities.

At the highest level, technicians diagnose PLC faults, replace sensors, and perform heavy repairs on automated equipment under pressure to meet tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of demonstrated and directly applicable experience in a manufacturing environment performing maintenance-related tasks on heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and equipment operation is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform downtime impact preventive and recovery maintenance on mechanical equipment, such as motor diagnosis and replacement.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using manuals, schematics, and other sources.
• Monitor and adjust temperatures, viscosity, metering scale, and sequencing for materials used in production.
• Ensure smooth material flow to prevent system and motor seizing.
• Operate equipment, machines, vehicles, and hand tools safely and to standards.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance like lubricating bushings and adjusting conveyors.
• Safely use forklifts to move materials between production stations.
• Stage materials for production or outbound logistics.
• Load raw materials and unload finished goods as needed; support with repairs with senior technicians.
