Job summary

gpac is seeking two Maintenance Technicians for a 6:00 PM–6:00 AM shift at a modern, highly automated dairy facility in Vernon County, WI. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, maintain packaging and automation systems, and ensure safe, efficient uptime in a 24/7 environment.

You should bring 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong PLC/VFD experience, and a hands-on approach to preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Manufacturing maintenance experience required; food & beverage experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
• Hands-on experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
• Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, or wastewater systems is a plus
• Strong preventive maintenance and continuous improvement mindset
• Commitment to food safety and workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and effectively on a 6 PM-6 AM shift

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility
• Maintain highly automated production and packaging systems
• Diagnose issues involving PLCs, VFDs, motors, controls, and automated equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability
• Maintain pumps, conveyors, separators, pasteurizers, and other processing equipment
• Support instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary processing systems
• Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
• Assist with plant utility systems and equipment
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant production environment
• Partner with production and operations teams to minimize downtime
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and equipment reliability
