Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Schofield, WI is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, diagnose PLCs, and perform preventive and emergency repairs to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent with 2–3 years in industrial maintenance; Journeyman apprenticeship is preferred. Welding, pipefitting, and building upkeep are also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2–3 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Journeyman Mechanic apprenticeship strongly preferred.
• Basic electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical systems, advanced pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and machine drive systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform welding activities (arc, MIG, TIG) and plasma cutting to ensure safe penetration.
• Perform simple machining duties and building maintenance such as grounds keeping and snow removal.
• Install machines per manufacturer specifications and perform pipefitting and plant upkeep.
• Prioritize daily work orders while balancing breakdowns and downtime.
