Job summary

ATEX, Inc. is seeking a skilled Night Shift Industrial Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Gainesville, GA. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated extrusion and nonwoven manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and collaboration with Production to minimize downtime. Candidates should have a technical degree or equivalent and experience with PLCs, VFDs,

Qualifications

Technical degree, certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and industrial controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated equipment.
Install, test, and commission new equipment and improvements.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Support facility maintenance, utilities, and support equipment.
Operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely.
Collaborate with Production to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
Engage in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
