Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is hiring an Electrician to ensure efficient operation of electrical equipment and instrumentation across the facility, both inside and outside, with a focus on safe and reliable operations and effective use of the CMMS.

The role involves troubleshooting, installing and maintaining electrical systems up to 480V, interpreting ladder logic and diagrams, and coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have at least one year of work experience in maintenance.
• Must have an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
• Preferred: at least two years of maintenance experience.
• Preferred: experience with manufacturing processes (valves, pumps, pigging systems).

Responsibilities

• Experience with rotary fillers, casepackers, palletizers, or wrappers (robotics highly preferred).
• Read and interpret ladder logic diagrams, read blueprints and wiring diagrams; make layouts as required.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment from low voltage to 480V/277V circuits and controllers.
• Perform major installations and general maintenance/repairs.
• Use tools and instruments to perform tasks independently.
• Obtain parts from storeroom and assign to work orders via CMMS.
• Follow safety instructions and maintain housekeeping procedures.
• Notify supervisor and authorities in emergencies.
• Develop and follow SOPs for equipment and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain equipment information in the CMMS database.
• Install and maintain equipment and piping labeling as required.
• Pursue ongoing training and participate in preventive maintenance programs.
• Document breakdowns and downtime, and record time spent and parts used.
