Job summary

American Eagle Paper Mills in Tyrone, PA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to maintain electrical systems and drive reliability on our manufacturing floor. You will diagnose faults, perform routine and preventive maintenance, and repair electrical equipment to minimize downtime.

The role requires reading schematics, working with PLCs and drive systems, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical training program or apprenticeship in electrical maintenance preferred.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, motors, control systems, and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions, including complex wiring, motors, circuit boards, and PLCs.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical components such as switches, panels, transformers, fuses, and breakers.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the safe operation of the facility and contribute to process improvements.
• Assist in upgrading electrical systems or installing new equipment as needed.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and any parts used.
