Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is hiring an Industrial Electrician for our Plywood facility in Dudley, NC. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining electrical systems, reading schematics, and supporting a quality maintenance program.

Shifts follow a 12-hour, 4-on/4-off schedule with occasional overtime and a day-to-night transition. Starting pay is $28+ per hour with a $2 shift premium, plus a $3000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of electrical field experience or training from a trade school/college in electrical/industrial tech.
• Preferred: 1+ year of related electrical experience at a manufacturing facility.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience with single- and 3-phase electrical repair/troubleshooting up to 480 volts.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, motor controllers and drives.
• Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment.
• Participate in a quality maintenance program to reduce production waste and achieve production quality goals.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and electrical control systems.
• Change out parts, repair or upgrade electrical equipment, relays, fuses, motors and wiring; transfer work as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and complete daily work orders.
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
