Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an HSSE Advisor to plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs for a 24‑hour operation. This role supports night shift leadership and workers across safety, health, security and environmental matters. The position requires a minimum of three years in safety and a willingness to work evenings through early morning hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work evening‑to‑overnight hours, primarily from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Rotational shifts and weekend coverage may be required.
• Valid TWIC Card or ability to obtain within first month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HSSE point of contact for Night Shift operations, supporting leadership and workforce on safety, health, security, and environmental matters.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HSSE policies, regulations, and industrial processes and ensure their application.
• Participate in review of JSEAs and Risk Assessments, identify hazards and provide safety guidance to night shift teams.
• Verify workforce JSEA understanding through pre‑job briefs, field engagement, and documented acknowledgements.
• Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and occupational diseases, including employee interviews, to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Report or review findings from incident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing.
• Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead HSSE projects and implement policies and initiatives.
• Coordinate worker HSSE training on safety laws, hazard monitoring, and equipment use.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret lagging indicators data.
