Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Unit Associate for a full-time role with a 3pm-11pm shift, 5 shifts per week and every other weekend. The position supports safe patient care by stocking supplies, monitoring expirations, and coordinating with nursing staff.

Responsibilities include stocking Pyxis, restocking rooms, maintaining clean work areas and assisting with other duties as assigned. Strong communication and familiarity with hospital procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/ urgent situations and to follow established procedures.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment, supplies and procedures (highly preferred).
• Highly effective interpersonal communication with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees.

Responsibilities

• Stock Pyxis and supply carts; monitor item expiration dates.
• Restock patient rooms and supply rooms.
• Maintain a clean work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with Nurses and the Unit Coordinator.
