Job summary

Nicklaus Children's seeks a Supervisor Security for night shifts to lead a 4–10 officer team across hospital buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe environment for patients, families and staff. You will hire, train, and manage performance, maintain incident reports, and coordinate fire safety and security operations.

The role requires 3–5 years of public safety officer experience, a Florida driver’s license, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience as a public safety officer.
• Active and valid State of Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Security D license preferred.
• Experience in hospital security settings is highly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of Public Safety Officers on shifts.
• Develops and presents officer training programs.
• Conducts performance evaluations and development conversations.
• Ensures documentation and licensure compliance.
• Investigates incidents and conducts witness interviews.
• Responds to emergencies and supports dispatch as needed.
• Patrols facilities and ensures life-safety readiness.
