AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL, is seeking a full-time Security Officer for night shifts. You will patrol hospital properties, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety standards while protecting patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires strong communication, calm decision-making, and the ability to work in a hospital environment. You will build familiarity with access control and CCTV systems, perform routine safety checks, and coordinate with security leadership to resolve incidents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year related security experience required.
• Driver's license required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Patrols assigned areas and maintains life safety standards.
• Investigates suspicious activity and reports hazards.
• Responds to emergencies and alarms.
• Administers basic first aid as trained.
• Learns hospital security systems and responds to fire alarms.
• De-escalates conflicts using verbal techniques.
• Unlocks buildings after identity checks.
• Monitors traffic and investigates incidents.
• Documents incidents and reports to appropriate entities.
