Job summary

Mount Sinai Hospital in New York is seeking a Receiving Stores Attendant A1 for Food Service. This part-time role covers nights, weekends, and holidays and focuses on receiving and stocking supplies for the storeroom of the Food Service Department.

You will verify weights and counts, handle food products according to safety procedures, document discrepancies, fill requisitions, and ensure proper labeling and storage of all items.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read.

• 0-1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving food and supplies, verifying weight, count, and quantity of merchandise.
• Handles food products according to proper food safety procedures.
• Responsible for documentation of all delivery discrepancies on vendor invoice, purchase/receiving logs.
• Accurately fills requisitions with correct quantity and products requested.
• Delivers and stores all received merchandise to the appropriate storage area. Labels and dates all items to be stored.
• Helps with daily and weekly inventories in selected areas.
• Readies all staples, cleaning supplies, and paper goods for requisition.
• Responsible for maintenance and sanitation of the receiving and storage areas, as well as care center pantries using proper chemicals and procedures.
• Responsible for closing the storage room area.
• Performs other responsibilities as required.
