Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification may be required.
• Valid state driver's license and auto insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and ensure correct patient identification.
• Enter demographics and orders into the LIS and verify data accuracy.
• Prepare samples for transport and processing; maintain quality documentation.
• Support cost reduction and patient service goals; interact with staff and patients with courtesy.
