Job summary

Specialty Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a Hospital Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract in San Luis Obispo, CA. This Night Shift position supports an inpatient pharmacy team in a fast-paced hospital environment with 4 x 10-hour shifts (5:30pm-4:00am).

Requirements include a California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing and at least 5 years of hospital experience with sterile compounding. Benefits are offered through Specialty Medical Staffing, LLC.

Qualifications

Active California Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
Minimum 5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience.
Sterile compounding experience required.

Responsibilities

Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Assist with medication order processing and inventory management.
Support daily inpatient pharmacy workflow and medication distribution.
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with USP standards and hospital policies for sterile compounding.
Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient care.
