TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience, with expertise in sterile compounding.

The role involves essential pharmacy operations including medication preparation, inventory management, and IV compounding under a pharmacist's supervision. Schedule: Night Shift, 4 x 10-hour shifts from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of medication preparation and distribution processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
• Pull medications from stock and match medications to pharmacist-generated labels.
• Fill and deliver unit-dose medication cassettes to nursing units.
• Maintain medication inventory, including restocking and rotating stock.
• Remove expired medications and maintain floor stock in nursing units.
• Prepare IV medications in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Process wholesaler and supplier orders, returns, and back orders.
• Assist with inventory management and other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
