Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for the night shift (7 on, 7 off). The role covers distribution, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy across all age groups, with supervisory duties over pharmacy technicians.

Requirements include a PharmD or equivalent from an ACPE-accredited school and Georgia licensure upon hire; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred though not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy.
• No experience required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Georgia Pharmacist license (PHARMD) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy across age groups including dosing variations and disease states.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and ensures competency and ongoing professional development.
• Performs patient-focused care clinical activities to provide optimal medication therapy.
