Job summary
The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a Hospital Operations Supervisor (RN) to provide operational accountability for a designated shift. The role includes human resource management and acting on behalf of leadership during off hours, with ultimate responsibility for administrative and operational decisions.
Qualified candidates hold NJ RN licensure, a Bachelor's in Nursing or related field, and a Magnet-certified credential by 06/01/2026.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- As of 06/01/2026 Magnet recognized national certification required.
- Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required.
- Previous managerial/progressive supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assumes operational accountability for a specified shift.
- Manages human resources and staffing on shift.
- Serves in absence of unit manager and supervisor on call.
- Holds ultimate responsibility for administrative and operational decision making on duty.
- Follows established chain of command and resource utilization to support patient care.
