Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Night Shift Housekeeper – Environmental Services Technician. This full-time role runs 11p-7:30 am, Mon-Fri with every other weekend, supporting hospital cleanliness across patient rooms and specialty areas.

Responsibilities include restroom and room cleaning, waste handling, PPE use, and excellent customer service for patients, families, and staff. Prior experience is preferred, and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be fluent in English (reading/writing/speaking).
• All certifications are required upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of restroom and patient room cleaning following protocols.
• Follow infection prevention practices and select proper chemicals.
• Handle waste disposal, recycling, and hazardous materials per guidelines.
• Operate PPE correctly and use lifting techniques to stay safe.
• Provide courteous customer service to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Document daily tasks and adjust for staff shortages using Epic.
• Collaborate with team on special projects and performance-improvement efforts.
