Job summary

Kootenai Health is seeking a hospital electrical technician within the Facilities - Facility Engineering department. This full-time evening shift covers 10-hour shifts and focuses on routine and complex inspection, maintenance, repair, alteration and installation of hospital electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.

The role requires reading blueprints and adherence to safety standards while providing reliable service to keep patient care areas safe and functional.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited electrical training program or equivalent.
• Idaho license or reciprocity pathway acceptable in lieu of full graduate requirement.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs in electrical systems and related areas.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Ensures safety measures and codes compliance.
• Maintains age-appropriate readiness of assigned unit and equipment.
