Job summary

Alive Hospice, Inc. in Murfreesboro seeks a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Unit to provide hospice care, act as case manager for assigned patients, and work with the IDT to implement the hospice plan of care. The RN will supervise LPNs and Care Partners while ensuring continuity of care across shifts.

The role requires a current TN RN license, 1 year nursing experience, and knowledge of hospice care with a preference for BSN. Night shifts, full-time status, and rotating weekends are included.

Qualifications

• Current TN RN license.
• BSN preferred; ability to apply for TN license within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum one year nursing practice or equivalent experience required. Hospice, Oncology, or Home Health and/or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process and current standards of practice.
• Collaborates with IDT to develop and implement hospice plan of care.
• Administers medications as ordered and educates patients/families on disease process and signs of approaching death.
