Job summary

Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health is seeking an RN Resident for the High Risk Antepartum/L&D unit on night shifts starting in Spring. The role supports antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care while offering mentorship and pathways to obtain the AWHONN fetal heart monitoring certificate.

As an RN I, you will document care, assist physicians, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team while upholding OU Health values and pursuing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• License/Certification/Registration: RN license in good standing (Oklahoma or compact).
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Align nursing practice with OU Health values and professional standards.
• Manage assigned patient or group, document responses and changes in orders.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitor patients' physiological data and intervene as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products.
• Provide safe, competent patient care and address complaints per policy.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate discharge planning.
