Job summary

OU Health's High Risk Antepartum/Postpartum Unit seeks an Experienced RN (RN I–III) to provide compassionate patient care in a 30-bed unit serving antepartum, postpartum and newborns. You will educate patients and families and pursue AWHONN fetal heart monitoring certification as you progress from novice to competent.

This role collaborates with physicians and staff, upholds OU Health values, and supports growth through mentorship, licensure, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years of patient care as RN for RN I.
• License: RN license (Oklahoma or eNLC) and BLS on hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
• Assists physician in examination and minor procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medication as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Resolves patient complaints in collaboration with staff.
