General Mills in Golden Valley, MN is seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to manage three high pressure steam boilers, start-up and shutdown, and monitor boiler-related systems. You will conduct water testing, track performance, and report needed repairs.

The role requires vigilance with safety systems and accurate data recording. The position is full-time, night shift (5:30pm–5:30am) with a 7-on/7-off schedule, located at JFB Technical Center.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Minnesota 1st Class B or higher boiler operator's license.
• Able to read gauges, meters and data acquisition systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and use hoists up to 300 lbs.
• Shift works 5:30pm–5:30am, 7 days on/off.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor the facility's three high pressure steam boilers.
• Perform boiler water testing, monitor efficiencies and maintenance.
• Notify supervisor of repairs or tune-ups and coordinate inspections.
• Monitor fire/safety systems and maintain readiness.
• Maintain equipment and assist with training new employees.
