Overview

Boiler Operator

Wage Range: $37.08 – $40.68 per hour
Schedule: Rotating shifts including weekday days, weekday nights, weekend days, and weekend nights (40 hours/week)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Boiler Operator to join our facilities operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the central boiler plant serving a medical campus. You will also support building systems across the campus, responding to automation alarms and assisting in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
  • Monitor building automation systems (BAS) for alarms and conditions affecting HVAC, fire safety, emergency generators, and patient care equipment.
  • Dispatch maintenance engineers to respond to alerts and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer with maintenance and operations of hot water (HW) boiler systems campus-wide.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid Minnesota 1st Class B (1B) Boilers License – required.
  • Prior experience in boiler operations, HVAC systems, or facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Comfortable working rotating shifts, including weekends and overnights.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
