Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian in Burlingame, CA to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role supports daily schedules and collaborates with the team to meet safety and quality standards.

Shifts Monday–Friday 6:00 PM–2:30 AM, with a pay rate of $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Eligible employees receive SBM’s comprehensive benefits and safety training requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified.
• Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
