Kroger in Wichita is seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver outstanding service, maintain a safe, clean store environment, and assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.

You will greet customers, answer questions about products, stock and rotate merchandise, ensure freshness and follow food safety guidelines. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are available.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of specials.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify if items need repair.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
