Job summary

Elmet Technologies, Inc. in Euclid, OH, is seeking a Furnace Operator to join the Reduction team.

The role involves safely operating production equipment, performing machine setups and changeovers, and supporting equipment maintenance to meet quality and traceability requirements. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience, a High School diploma, and the ability to work a 12-hour night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) including weekends.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to use measuring devices and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or industrial equipment preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and attendance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production equipment to meet quality, delivery, and productivity goals
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and process monitoring according to production schedules
• Conduct equipment inspections and maintain housekeeping standards (5S)
• Assist with troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and inventory transactions
• Ensure product traceability and compliance with quality requirements
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial equipment
• Cross-train on multiple machines and support departmental needs as required
