Job summary

Potters Industries LLC. in Muscatine, IA is hiring for a Furnace/Grinding Operator on the night shift (7:00p.m. – 7:00a.m.). The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of manufacturing experience.

You will operate furnace and grinding equipment, use forklifts, and support production goals in a safety-first environment. New hourly rate starts at $21.84 with a $1.00 night premium. Benefits include 401(k) matching, health insurance, HSA, life insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Must be able to work any day of the week.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a dust filtering respirator when needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate furnace and grinding equipment to meet quality and production goals.
• Safely operate plant vehicles forklifts and front-end loader in support of production activities.
• Perform basic analytical testing to confirm material quality in processes.
• Interpret analytical data and adjust processes to maintain quality output.
• Monitor product levels within processes and record data in computer systems and logs.
• Housekeeping and basic maintenance of the production area.
• Participate in Health, Safety and Environmental activities, monthly audits, and hazard identifications.
