Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company in Dalhart, TX is seeking a Functional Products Operator responsible for Alpha LAC product production. You will work with the Protein Plant team to understand formulas, manufacture products, and communicate issues to the line.

The role requires proficiency in English, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, 12-hour shifts including weekends, and basic computer skills. Prior experience in manufacturing at a Level 3 or similar will help you excel.

Qualifications

• Able to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Lift up to 60 lbs and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in a Level 3 manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Products Coordinator - Protein Plant.
• Responsible for understanding Alpha LAC and WPI product formulas and manufacture of these functional products.
• Communicate issues related to responsibilities to the production team.
• Assist with other operator functions in other protein production functions as needed.
• Maintain above-average attendance and flexibility in day-to-day tasks.
• Participate in training and development activities before, during and after shifts.
• Coach and train teammates and participate in on-the-job buddy training.
• Prioritize and communicate food safety and sanitation per policies.
