Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team with a Fryer Machine Operator in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The role runs on the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, and involves frying quality chips, preparing the fryer, and monitoring equipment to ensure consistent production.

Responsibilities include sanitation duties, log keeping, cross-training as needed, and adherence to GMP and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of production flow, operating procedures, and sanitation procedures.
• Some knowledge of machinery is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work in a warm to hot work environment.
• Requires own reliable transportation to the worksite.

Responsibilities

• Fry quality chips by operating the fryer and associated components.
• Prepare fryer and startup procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and product during production.
• Maintain output and quality; report unusual product rejections to supervisor.
• Complete daily equipment shutdowns and cleaning.
