Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Mt Gilead, NC is seeking a Front-End Loader Driver for the Night Shift to operate 550 loaders and conveyors and support safe, efficient chip transport in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience and forklift/front-end-loader certification (or the ability to pass); you should understand load limits, controls, and site safety procedures. Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years operating heavy equipment, preferably loaders.
• Fork lift / Front End Loader certified or able to pass skills assessment.
• Understanding of load limits, machine controls, and site safety procedures.
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete walk around inspections of rolling stock.
• Monitors chip unloading conveyors and ensures chips are going to correct locations.
• Visually monitors the quality of chips.
• Operates loader and monitors that it is running correctly and efficiently.
• Performs basic maintenance tasks.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
