Job summary

Mohawk Industries in Mount Gilead, NC is seeking a Front-End Loader Driver responsible for operating 550 loaders and conveyors for chip transportation. You will perform inspections, monitor conveyors, ensure chips reach correct locations, and maintain equipment reliability.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience, forklift/ loader certification or ability to pass, and a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and adaptable problem-solving in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years operating heavy equipment.
• Fork lift / Front End Loader certified or ability to pass skills assessment.
• Understanding of load limits, machine controls, and site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete walk around inspections of rolling stock.
• Monitors chip unloading conveyors and ensures chips are going to correct locations.
• Visually monitors the quality of chips.
• Operates loader and monitors that it is running correctly and efficiently.
• Performs basic maintenance tasks.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
