Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Chicago Heights dock. You will efficiently sort, load, and unload freight, operate a forklift and pallet jack, and use handheld devices to track shipments.

You’ll work on a non climate-controlled dock with variable shifts, including nights and weekends, supporting safe, accurate handling of freight. Qualifications

• Dock/warehouse experience in transportation is preferred.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environments is desired.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack and use mobile handheld devices.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work safely and follow company safety policies on a dock that isn’t climate-controlled.
