Job summary

Pratt Industries in Valparaiso, IN is looking for a Forklift Operator to safely operate and care for the forklift on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am). You will follow safety procedures, inspect equipment, and document findings as part of daily duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Lift Truck Operator License. Prior forklift experience in a corrugated environment is preferred, and you will report to the Shipping Lead Person to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for forklift in a safe manner.
• Complete and document a forklift inspection before each shift and when using a different forklift.
• Deliver stock to machines and remove finished goods from production lines.
• Maintain neat, safe stacks of stock and accurate location records.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
