Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Good eye, hand and foot coordination required.
• Able to pass company forklift training.
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods and multi-task.
• Will lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
• Read and interpret scales; basic math skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift in warehouse and production areas.
• Pre-shift checks: propane tanks, fluids, and equipment cleanliness.
• Grease fittings as needed.
• Keep raw materials neat and orderly.
• Sweep warehouse daily and empty trash bins when full.
• Verify packing slips and weight tickets; ensure counts are correct.
• Attach packing slips to loads and enclose packing slips.
• Attach load seals; stack and band plywood as required.
• Re-stack and wrap products; log daily records.
• Wear seat belts and maintain safe forklift speed.
• Stack junk pallets properly for disposal.
• Clean warehouse at end of shift and assist other areas as needed.
• Move and wrap completed products; assist shift leads with pellet mills.
