Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions in New York is seeking a Forklift Operator for a Wed-Sat overnight 12-hour shift (6pm–6am). The role involves operating forklifts, using scanners, and supporting production in a factory setting.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, completing daily safety checklists, labeling, checking work orders, and keeping weight scale areas clean and organized. PPE such as safety glasses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures
• Performs safety forklift checklist daily
• Keeps equipment clean and in good repair
• Aware of surroundings / situational awareness to create safe work environments
• Uses BOL scanner hardware / software
• Ensure bundles meet packaging requirements (nails, board spacing, label location, etc.)
• Maintains clean and organized weight scale areas
• Assists Product Lead in posting work orders
• Use the computer to print bundle labels
• Check status of work orders
• Rejects badly wrapped bundles
• Identify and rejects badly wrapped bundles, scrap bundles and help retrain PI
• Input scrap into system
• Performs all required paperwork
• Performs bundle sign-off
