Job summary

MiLa is seeking a Sanitation Technician to clean and sanitize production equipment, processing areas, and facility spaces in a food manufacturing setting. This is a full-time, hourly position that follows a night shift from 8:00pm to 4:30am.

You will perform WIP procedures, follow SSOPs and LOTO procedures, and maintain sanitation records. Training is provided, with emphasis on GMPs, allergen control, and chemical safety.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions including SSOPs, safety procedures, and chemical labels.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to a clean, safe work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain basic written records accurately.
• Willingness to learn food safety, allergen control, and chemical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, walls, drains and overhead areas per SSOPs and schedules.
• Perform Wash in Place (WIP) procedures as directed by the Sanitation Lead.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning following LOTO procedures.
• Prepare, dilute, and apply cleaning chemicals per SDS and company procedures.
• Maintain sanitation records including checklists and inspections.
• Follow allergen cleaning/changeover procedures to prevent cross-contact.
• Clean restrooms and common areas as scheduled.
• Report sanitation issues to the Sanitation Lead immediately.
• Support QA during pre-operational inspections, swabbing and audits.
• Wear PPE at all times and follow GMPs and safety procedures.
• Keep tools and chemical storage areas clean and organized.
• Perform other sanitation-related duties as assigned.
