Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Sanitation Operator for the 3rd shift in Vineland, NJ. You will clean and sanitize food processing equipment and surfaces to meet company and USDA standards, lifting up to 75 lbs and working in cold, wet environments.

Responsibilities include pre-rinsing, chemical cleaning, high-pressure washing, and daily operation of sanitation machinery. Requires 6 months of sanitation experience and ability to work nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in the sanitation of food processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remove all product and materials from assigned area.
• Pre-rinse area from top to bottom.
• Apply chemicals and soaps to equipment from bottom to top.
• Final rinse and verify area for corrections.
• Clean production areas to USDA standards.
• Climb to high places and bend to low areas for scrubbing.
• Operate high-pressure hoses and power washers.
• Replace sanitation materials after cleaning.
• Set up and operate machines in production areas.
• Lock-out tag-out training is provided on hire.
• Perform various duties including blade/belt/hopper cleanings, equipment disassembly for cleaning, floor/drain cleaning, and periodic communal-area upkeep.
