Job summary

US Foods is looking for a Non CDL Driver I in New Hampshire to deliver foodservice products to customers with a high level of service. Prior driving experience is preferred but not required; DOT medical clearance is mandatory.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with an 11 PM start; pay starts at $30.61/hour and increases to $32.79/hour after six months. Benefits begin Day 1, including Medical, dental, vision, 401K and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with appropriate endorsements if required.
• DOT medical exam/pass required.
• No more than two traffic violations in past two years; no DUI in past three years.
• No license suspensions in past three years.
• No prior termination for safety violations or accident involvement.
• One year of multi-stop delivery experience preferred or six months local delivery/foodservice experience.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background check.
• Knowledge of area/map reading abilities.
• Safe lifting and loading techniques.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Load and unload vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
• Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
• Use hand truck to move product into customer locations, including stairs as needed.
• Record delivery information using hand scanner and required paperwork.
• Document and disposition any returned product.
• Communicate delivery issues to Customer Service or Supervisor.
• Deliver product to designated stops following the daily sequence.
• Unload product safely and stage in designated spaces.
• Check invoices for complete delivery; process paperwork and damaged merchandise.
• Prepare for safe operations by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
