SSC Services for Education, a member of Compass Group, is hiring a full-time Floor Technician at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. The role covers floor maintenance and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Schedule is nights from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am, with some days varying. Prior floor care experience and ability to follow safety procedures are required. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior floor care experience is required.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
