Job summary

SSC Services for Education seeks a Floor Technician for University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. This full-time role covers floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment in a school setting.

The position requires 1 year of prior floor care experience, knowledge of floor care equipment, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Expect lifting up to 50 lbs and a night schedule with full benefits offered by SSC/Compass Group.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior floor care and maintenance experience is required.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
