Job summary

Salt Lake Community College (UT) is seeking a Night Shift Specialist for Facilities Custodial Floor Maintenance. You will perform carpet and hard floor care across all SLCC locations, respond to emergencies, and ensure timely completion of training and work orders.

Responsibilities include snow/ice removal, maintaining safety standards, and operating CMMS to track tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent with related experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher with related experience.
• 3 years full-time related experience or 1 year with an Associate Degree.
• Any combination of above with 1:1 substitutions.

Responsibilities

• Extract and detail carpets & upholstery using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Strip and resurface hard floors using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, floods, and spills with appropriate cleanup gear.
• Complete required custodial and floor maintenance training.
• Maintain floor maintenance projects to create a positive working environment.
• Monitor, post time, and close work orders in CMMS (Sprocket).
• Snow removal around entrances and sidewalks to keep campus open.
