Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a Custodial – Floor Technician for the SWTCC Union Avenue Campus. The role requires cleaning and maintaining diverse floor surfaces and operating floor care equipment

The position works Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00pm–7:30am, with possible after-hours for emergencies. Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma and a TN Driver’s license, with preferred 3+ years in floor care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Scrub, strip, wax and polish floors using heavy powered scrubbers and buffers.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as directed.
• Report items needing repair (doors, lights, faucets, etc.).
• Follow safety procedures and operate floor care equipment correctly.
