Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, part of Advocate Health, is seeking an RN for its Internal Float Pool to support Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding. This 0.6 FTE, 24-hour-per-week role features night shifts with 12-hour shifts and weekend rotations.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing program completion, an active RN license, BLS certification, and 18+ months of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience. Benefits-eligible and flexible scheduling offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Minimum 18 months of Med Surg or Telemetry RN experience (2 years strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Floating between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units; may float to ICU.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care in fast-paced environments.
• Adapt to each unit’s workflow and support teams with professionalism and clinical excellence.
• Demonstrate strong communication, sound decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Support efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
