Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (10pm-6am) to safely operate a flexographic press and support production goals.

You will set up and adjust equipment, perform quality checks, maintain a clean, organized workspace, and assist with training team members while following LEAN principles and safety procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
• Basic computer skills and arithmetic ability are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjusts, maintains and operates a flexographic press.
• Conduct make-ready by installing components and ensuring print quality.
• Keep work area clean and organized; report repairs as needed.
• Assist with training of team members as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and LEAN principles; support continuous improvement.
